Brand Strategist

Jacknife is looking for an experienced design thinker that enjoys connecting the dots to refresh, reboot and invent brands for organizations across a wide range of business categories. We are on the lookout for people who are genuinely interested in design and innovation with strong writing and presentation skills to join our growing Brand Strategy team. You’ll have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team in a highly creative design studio culture. If you are tapped into the global design, business and cultural trends, have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience building brands, directing, leading and facilitating ideation sessions, brainstorms and workshops, as well as managing clients and working with internal creative teams we’d love to hear from you.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Leading strategic phases of branding projects ensuring integration to subsequent phases of the project (design, execution..)
  • Developing the guiding brand platform (i.e. positioning/narrative direction, core values, tonal direction & brand personality, etc.) for clients across a varied and wide-ranging list of business categories
  • Performing qualitative market and/or design research and directing quantitative research when required
  • Conducting interviews, facilitating and documenting discovery and ideation sessions, building presentations
  • Recruiting and managing a roster of freelance strategists
  • Presentation and creation of insight reports to internal Jacknife team

 


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience working in a strategy/planning capacity at design, brand and/or advertising agency with experience managing clients through the branding/design process
  • Strong research, writing and presentation skills
  • The ability to access, sort and organize large amounts of information efficiently and effectively you have the ability to organize insights in simple and easily digestible formats
  • Organized, strong work ethic, and independently motivated with strong problem-solving skills
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have a multidisciplinary skill set
