Pride at Work Canada Branding System

Pride at Work Canada is an organization founded in 2008 by a group of dedicated volunteers; they started with a vision to improve the climate of inclusiveness for LGBTQ2+ people in Canadian workplaces. With over 80 national and regional partners, their efforts empower employers to foster workplace cultures that recognize LGBTQ2+ employees as an integral part of a diverse workforce—as well as help them to create safer, more inclusive spaces, and bring down barriers to employment for Canada’s LBGTQ2+ community.

We partnered with Pride at Work for several years to create a wide range of collateral including event invites, educational handbooks, reports and graphic elements for their annual Pride at Work Canada Workplace Summit. The third iteration of their very successful one-day learning and networking event needed an updated visual presence—so we got to work.

Inspired by data and radial bar charts that represented businesses Jacknife developed a look and feel that used the pride colours to represent the LGBTQ2+ community. The easy-to-read and engaging system was applied to signage, name badges, event guides and digital applications, and will be applied to future summits.
