2015 marked the 70th anniversary for Runnymede Healthcare Centre and they were looking to do something special to celebrate this milestone, recognize their excellence, and get people looking ahead to what they continue to bring to the community.
Anyone who sifts through a traditional annual report knows the task of communicating complex and dynamic information to a wide audience in an enthralling, and intriguing way can be a difficult assignment. Step in Jacknife.
The Jacknife team decided to deliver content in a more editorial and bit size way to help with the pacing of information. The team also wanted to create visual interest by juxtaposing historical photography of Runnymede’s past with contemporary documentary style black & white photography with graphic blocks of colour, bold typography and the overprinting of fluorescent inks. With this combination of elements and treatments we were able to give a nod to the hospital’s past while largely focusing on the now and the future of the institution.
The printed report and supplemental interactive microsite highlighted Runnymede’s accomplishments over the past year, and outlined their strategic plan for the next five years in a new and interesting way that captivates the surrounding community and healthcare sectors.
