One of Toronto’s favourite homegrown taquerias, Mi Taco, approached us to help them refresh their look and tell their story as a family-owned restaurant with fresh recipes and a laid-back vibe.

After immersing ourselves in the food (very important), the owners’ goals, and the story they wanted to tell, we got to working on a brand identity that invoked a lively, playful, and authentic Mexican experience in the heart of Downtown Toronto.

We created a whimsical wordmark and papel picado-inspired illustrations, with a full visual identity that could be leveraged across all touchpoints—including merch, in-store design, signage, menus, containers, and beverages. Working with the amazing team behind our new favourite lunch (and dinner, and sometimes breakfast) spot, we ensured that their authentic, home-made story could be communicated to all stakeholders and across all platforms—and reflected the amazing food experience their customers know and love. We think that deserves a round of Margaritas.
