Marking 26 years in business, Jacknife Co-Founders Mike Kelar and Mikey Richardson present this short film exploring the origins and early development of their approach to creativity and the philosophies that inform the studio’s work today.
The film looks at their beginnings as art school students leading up to creating their first design studio, AmoebaCorp., and its influence on the 1990’s Toronto design scene, a period of intense experimentation and innovation in creativity, technology and popular culture. Through some unusual and slightly awkward tales, Mike & Mikey uncover their pivotal experiences in developing and defining the Jacknife brand, known for its unconventional approach to building value through design thinking.
